For over 35+ years, Chef Linda and Chef Aida have devoted their lives to sharing the artistry of Thai cuisine and hospitality. Their story begins with roots deeply grounded in traditional herbs, fresh ingredients, and the joy of cooking — a passion that lives on in every dish they serve today.
In 1987, Linda opened Simply Thai in Queens, NY, bringing authentic Thai flavors to the East Coast. Returning to Los Angeles, she launched Simply Thai in 2000, followed by Café Linda’s in Old Town Pasadena in 2008, a neighborhood favorite proudly run and managed by Chef Aida. In 2020, their journey came full circle as Simply Thai was reimagined into Thai on Hillhurst, a fresh rebrand inside and out that embraced modern lifestyles while honoring their beloved Thai heritage recipes that defined their journey.
When the Hyperion space became available, they saw the chance to create something extraordinary - a neighborhood home for food lovers, families, and friends. At Thai on Hyperion in Silver Lake, the chefs aren’t just owners - they are at the woks, firing flavors with care, passion, and precision. Every plate is a reflection of decades of experience, delivering a dining experience that feels both timeless and new.
